RNZ has an opportunity for an experienced leader to work within a strong editorial leadership team. You will ensure our journalism is editorially sound, comprehensive and of a high quality.

Working collaboratively across our News and Content teams, you will role model and promote an environment where people can focus on covering and breaking public interest news stories which reflect, reach and engage our audiences. 

Ōu Pūkenga - About You

You will:

  • have significant experience and a proven track record for news gathering, ideally in a multimedia environment.
  • have experience leading a committed and high-performing team and role-modelling an inclusive and supportive culture.
  • apply your considerable expertise in editorial leadership, decision-making and journalism, alongside your appreciation of audience insights.
  • actively contribute to a collaborative workplace including the application of flexible thinking and behaviour, displaying core RNZ values in terms of attitude, behaviour and treatment of colleagues.
