Te Mahi – About the job
RNZ is looking for a journalist with demonstrable experience with breaking news and a track record of original stories for radio, current affairs programmes and digital and social media platforms.
Your experience will mean that you are organised, efficient and reliable, using your initiative to report on a mix of stories that matter.
You will be ready to hit the road, relying on key contacts and sources to drive story ideas and deliver first-class journalism.
Ōu Pūkenga - About You
You will:
- Have superior writing, interviewing and live broadcasting skills
- Be a skilled reporter
- Have experience working as a journalist
- Bring accuracy, attention to detail, curiosity, speed, and creativity to your work
- File written, audio and visual content to tight radio and digital deadlines
- Understand the issues affecting the Wellington region and the lower North Island
- Be flexible and able to commit to shift work
- Must have a full driver licence
