Join RNZ’s onair team as a Studio Operator in Wellington and help bring our programmes to life. This role offers a variety of work that includes operating studio equipment, ingesting content for web, providing creative assistance to the overall production and presentation of radio and multimedia programmes, as well as opportunities to support our specialist sound and Master control operators.

Ōu Pūkenga - About You

To be successful in the role, you’ll have:

  • A background in audio, with a proven track record as a Studio Operator in live radio and/or Audio Engineering
  • Flexibility to be available across a 24/7 operation including weekends and public holidays
  • Good understanding and skills in audio production
  • Competent IT skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work alone and as a collaborative team member

We’re looking to give experience to operators new to the studio environment as well as bring in people with specialist sound engineering experience and expertise in master control room.
