Te Mahi – About the job
The Studio Video & Post-Production Editor leads and builds capability within the Studio Operations team to deliver high-quality video across RNZ’s studio, podcast and series productions. The role guides visual capture and post-production, ensuring content is creatively engaging, technically robust and aligned with RNZ’s quality standards and workflows. It supports the efficient delivery of compelling video optimised for digital and social platforms, strengthening RNZ’s visual storytelling and audience engagement.
- Lead RNZ studio video capture and quality, from framing and lighting through to publication.
- Build kaimahi video editing capability and deliver high-quality content for digital platforms.
- Develop consistent video standards and workflows across studio operations.
- Coach kaimahi in end-to-end video workflows to deliver high-quality content.
- Partner with content teams on visual storytelling that supports editorial goals.
- Operate and maintain studio production systems, keeping equipment reliable and production-ready.
- Support live and recorded productions, delivering seamless multi-camera workflows.
- Manage video assets, ensuring accurate metadata, storage, archiving, and delivery.
- Resolve technical and quality issues to keep delivery on time and to specification.
Ōu Pūkenga – About You
- Relevant qualification in broadcast, digital or multimedia production, or equivalent practical experience.
- Video and post-production experience.
- Long- and short-form video editing.
- Digital and social content delivery.
- Calm, adaptable and solutions-focused.
- Media asset and file management.
- Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software.
- Strong visual storytelling and content packaging.
- Studio cameras, lighting and multi-camera switching.
- Creative and curious.
- Collaborative and approachable.

- Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.
